Chelsea are now reportedly interested in Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy as a potential target this summer.

The report explains the two Premier League giants are in the market to sign a new centre-forward, so have their sights on Leicester’s talisman.
Vardy, who scored 17 goals in just 33 games last season across all competitions, is a veteran attacker still capable of delivering on the highest stage.

Chelsea interested in Jamie Vardy
Vardy is a new name to crop up in Chelsea’s search this summer for a new No.9.
They desperately need another forward after deciding to loan out Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan, which leaves Kai Havertz as the front-runner to start the season in the centre of attack.
Leicester’s frontman is the definition of proven with 133 goals in 270 Premier League appearances.
However, the fact that Vardy turns 36 next January means it’s likely he could only be a short-term solution.
Compared to Werner
Chelsea wing-back Ben Chilwell, who once played alongside Vardy, previously compared the Leicester icon to Timo Werner.
“In terms of running the channels and how quick he is it’s similar to Vards,” Chilwell said about Werner in 2020.
It’s true that both attackers are a nightmare for defenders with their pace and movement, but Leicester’s star is miles above him based on the last couple of years.
