Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Dean Jones has been discussing Arsenal’s interest in a new winger.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for Pedro Neto this week, but according to Jones, he’s not the only wide player the north London club have an eye.
Arsenal are casting something of a wide net on this front, and they’re keen on a player from La Liga.
Indeed, according to the journalist, Yeremy Pino is also a player that is still on Arsenal’s radar, and apparently, the Spaniard would be very excited about the prospect of moving to Arsenal.
Jones shared what he knows about Neto and Pino.
“Pedro Neto is the one they’re narrowing in on here. We’re waiting for an actual bid to go in, but they’ve been putting feelers out. They know it won’t be an easy deal to get done and Wolves will hold out for every penny they can, it will be around £50m,” Jones said.
“They are still on the case of Yeremy Pino, who scored at the weekend, and I’m told that he’s very much open to a transfer like this and he would be excited to join Arsenal.”
Pino could be an absolutely fantastic signing for Arsenal.
At the age of just 19, the ‘magnificent’ winger still has so much room to improve, and the fact that he’s excited about playing for Arsenal is a huge tick in the box.
Sometimes, you get the feeling that players have signed for clubs for reasons beyond their control, be it their agent giving them bad advice or a financial package that’s too good to turn down, but the best signings are always the players who are simply excited to play for the team.
Pino fits into that bracket, and if he joins Arsenal, he could go on to become a real fan favourite.
