Premier League side Man Utd could yet to seal a late loan deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to reports.
The Red Devils have brought in Antony, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen and Tyrell Malacia so far this summer with Martin Dubravka also set to join from Newcastle United.
Erik ten Hag yesterday suggested that their business was done for this summer but there is always a chance that they could dip back into the market if the right deal becomes available.
There were rumours earlier this week that Napoli striker Osimhen could emerge as a target with Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes pushing to seal some kind of swap deal late in the window.
And now Italian publication CDS (via the Manchester Evening News) claims that the Serie A club are ‘willing to send’ Osimhen to Man Utd but want the Premier League club to fulfil two requirements.
Firstly, they will get Ronaldo on loan until the end of the season in return and secondly that there is an obligation for Man Utd to buy Osimhen for €100m at the end of the temporary agreement.
It seems unlikely that such a complicated deal would be able to be pulled off before the deadline unless most of the details were ironed out earlier in the week.
Red Bull Salzburg defender Maximilian Wober is one player who wants to play for Man Utd in the future with the Austria internationa “tempted” to play abroad.
There have been no bids made by Man Utd for the centre-back but Wober admits that the Red Devils represent his “absolute dream club”.
“Of course, I’m tempted to go abroad in one way or another,” Wober tells Sky Sport Austria.
“But I made a conscious decision in the summer to extend my contract with Salzburg once again, because I’ve really found joy and fun in football here again.
“I’ve blossomed again, and I’ve grown into an absolute leader in the team and in the club.
“Since Manchester United is my absolute dream club, I would definitely say ‘yes’ there, but it won’t play out. There has been no contact.”
