Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard could be available to play against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
In his pre-match press conference this week, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said that Odegaard was doubtful for the game against Manchester United.
The Spaniard said that the Norway international attacking midfielder was going to be assessed before a decision was made on his availability, as quoted in The Mirror.
On Saturday, Arsenal released a video on their official website of the players training ahead of the trip to Manchester.
Odegaard was spotted in training.
The Manchester Evening News have reported that the former Real Madrid man has travelled with the Arsenal squad to Manchester.
Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who, like Odegaard, picked up an injury against Aston Villa in midweek, has travelled to Manchester as well, according to the report.
The report has claimed that both Odegaard and Ramsdale will be ‘stringently tested before the game on Sunday’.
The good news for Arsenal is that Odegaard – described as “an exceptional football player” by manager Arteta on Sky Sports last month – has traveled to Manchester.
This means means that the playmaker could at least make the bench against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Odegaard has scored three goals in five Premier League matches for Arsenal so far this season.
