Arsenal are back in action this weekend as they face Brentford in the Premier League and they could have Ben White ready to go against the Bees.
White has been an injury worry for the Gunners. Despite missing out on the England squad this week, the former Brighton man has been integral for Arsenal, featuring predominantly as a right-back in Mikel Arteta’s back four.
And in good news for the club ahead of facing Brentford and in-form striker, Ivan Toney, images released from Arsenal’s training session yesterday shows White back in the thick of things.
Lauded as being a ‘fantastic‘ player, White has certainly done all he can so far to live up to the £50m fee Arsenal shelled out for him last year. White has played himself into being a key player for Mikel Arteta and there was genuine surprise when he was left out of the England side this week.
Our View: White Key For Arsenal
Managers love to have a fully fit squad to choose from and Arsenal having Ben White fully fit and ready to play is a massive bonus for them.
Sure, they have some good options at the back and the likes of Tomiyasu are more than capable of producing the goods. But White has been excellent and Arsenal look a better team with him involved.
His return for this weekend, then, is a big boost and Arsenal will be more confident of seeing the Bees off with White involved.
