TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor believes new Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus is the best summer signing in the Premier League.
Agbonlahor was asked a number of quick-fire questions about the new Premier League season.
Arsenal have started the season brilliantly, and have gone into the international break top of the table.
Mikel Arteta’s side have put in some brilliant performances, only tasting defeat once at Manchester United.
The Gunners have a huge game coming up next weekend, when they welcome north London rivals Tottenham to The Emirates.
The winner of that clash will not only have bragging rights over their nearest rivals, but top spot in the Premier League.
Arsenal will be helped by a rested Gabriel Jesus, who Agbonlahor believes is the signing of the summer.
The Brazilian was left out of Brazil’s final pre-World Cup squad, a decision Tim Vickery called ‘mystifying’.
Agbonlahor: Jesus is the best signing this summer
Speaking to TalkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: “Best signing is Gabriel Jesus for me.
“(Erling) Haaland has been outstanding but (Manchester) City have always done well.
“They’ve done well without Haaland, they’ve scored ridiculous goals without Haaland.
“Gabriel Jesus has turned Arsenal into something else.
“They’ve got a striker now who doesn’t labour when he’s pressing defenders.”
It’s huge praise from Agbonlahor to say Jesus has been better than Haaland.
The Norwegian forward already has 11 goals in his first seven appearances.
Jesus has only scored four times, but has provided three assists to Haaland’s one.
The ‘amazing’ Jesus was reportedly keen to join Chelsea this summer before joining Arsenal.
The Blues ended up with one of the players Gabriel Jesus was brought in to replace; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The two forwards will be hoping to outscore each other this season to prove their clubs made the right choice.
So far, it’s advantage Jesus, who could end up being one of the best summer signings this season.
