‘A real threat’: Harry Redknapp warns Tottenham about one Arsenal player ahead of North London Derby

Harry Redknapp has warned Tottenham Hotspur that he expects Bukayo Saka to be a ‘real threat’ for Arsenal in the north London derby on Saturday.

The former Tottenham boss also added that Son Heung-min, who scored a hat-trick against Leicester City last time out, is another ‘amazing’ player that will be on show with Arsenal sitting at the top of the Premier League table.

It has been a long while since both teams have gone into a north London derby where the mood is pretty positive and upbeat in both camps.

Mikel Arteta has his team sitting at the top of the Premier League table, whilst Antonio Conte’s men are still unbeaten in the league, including putting six past helpless and mistake-ridden Leicester City before the international break.

If there is a winner, then that team will no doubt send out a statement, not just to their rivals, but to the rest of the league that they mean serious business

Redknapp has tasted this fixture before as a manager, another 4-4 perhaps? Nonetheless, he is backing there to be ‘a few goals’ at the weekend, as he told talkSPORT on Thursday morning.

“I am sure there will be a few goals,” said Redknapp. “It will kick off in midfield, wouldn’t it?! If you were looking at a couple of bookings, then you would look at a couple of the midfield players.

“There are a lot of good players on show. Saka, came on the other day and was in great form for England. He picked it up and ran with it. He can be a real threat at the weekend.

“Son is amazing, isn’t he when he is on his game!? Last week, they brought him off the bench and he gets a hat-trick. He is going to want to start.”

TWO OUTSTANDING FORWARD LINES

Historically, this fixture has always delivered goals and given the attacking threat on display at the weekend, then it should provide its fair share again.

Arsenal have a thriving Gabriel Jesus ripping it up since his summer transfer from Manchester City, whilst Saka has picked up form during the past few weeks and this is the best football Gabriel Martinelli is playing.

But Tottenham also have their weapons, no more so than their star striker, Harry Kane, who loves a goal in this fixture and he will be looking to add to that at the Emirates.

However, if Kane doesn’t fire, then Son Heung-min can always take the game away from you, whilst Richarlison is just going from strength to strength since joining Spurs.
