#3. Fellowship Program for Studying Leadership & Advocacy for Women in Africa 2023 – Georgetown University, USA
The LAWA Program assists candidates who otherwise couldn’t afford an LL.M. in covering the expenditures. degree and additional training for professional advancement.
The Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the Georgetown University Law Center (US $66,872 reward) and the obligatory Foundations of American Law and Legal Education course held from mid-July to mid-August are both covered by the LAWA Fellowship.

Qualification Standards for the Georgetown University Leadership & Advocacy for Women Fellowship
Those who are interested in applying for the scholarship must:
- To be considered, you must be an African attorney who specializes on women’s human rights. You need to have an LL.B. or another degree in law. Candidate preference is given to those who:
- presently reside and are employed in Africa.
- not hold a master’s degree already.

- Candidates for the LAWA Program must have advanced computer skills for writing papers and doing research. - Candidates need to be ready for a rigorous course of study. Over the course of the two academic semesters, LAWA Fellows enroll in four mandatory courses as well as a number of other electives.
